FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A large law-enforcement response involving Franklin Township Police and Franklin County sheriff’s deputies was reported near Knob Hill East on Friday night.
An NCN correspondent at the scene observed approximately 10 patrol vehicles in the area. Photographs taken by the correspondent show marked Franklin Township Police and sheriff’s vehicles participating in the response.
A police sergeant told the NCN correspondent that officers were responding to a reported robbery. Authorities have not released additional information about the circumstances surrounding the report.
It remains unclear whether anyone was injured, whether a weapon was involved or whether any suspects were detained or arrested. Authorities also have not publicly said whether anyone remains outstanding.
The National Correspondent Network has contacted Franklin Township Police and the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office seeking confirmation of the incident, the agencies’ respective roles and the associated incident number.
