MINNEAPOLIS — An adult man is in critical condition after being shot multiple times late Wednesday night outside a business on East Lake Street, according to the Minneapolis Police Department.
Officers responded at approximately 11:56 p.m. to reports of a shooting in the 1700 block of East Lake Street. When they arrived, they found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
The man was transported by ambulance to Hennepin Healthcare, where he is being treated for potentially life-threatening injuries.
Preliminary information indicates the victim was outside a business when the shooting occurred. Police believe the suspect fled the scene on foot through a nearby alley before officers arrived.
No arrests have been announced, and investigators have not released a suspect description.
The case is being investigated by the Minneapolis Police Department’s Firearm Assault Shoot Team (FAST), a specialized unit created to improve investigations into non-fatal shootings and increase case clearance rates.
