BURNSVILLE, Minn. — Burnsville police responded to a report of a possible weapon at North River Hills Park, leading officers to investigate several individuals at the scene.
According to information obtained by the National Correspondent Network (NCN), officers were dispatched after receiving a report involving a possible firearm. Burnsville police later confirmed to NCN that a weapons-related call had been received.
Witnesses interviewed by NCN said officers arrived at the park and began speaking with the individuals involved. According to witness accounts, officers searched one individual’s backpack and pockets as part of the investigation.
NCN interviewed Adnan Salah and an additional witness who were present during the incident. Both stated that no firearm was found during the police response.
According to witness accounts, the incident stemmed from comments made during a conversation that were later interpreted as involving a weapon. NCN has not independently verified every detail surrounding the initial report.
Police concluded their investigation at the scene. According to information provided to NCN, no citations were issued and no arrests were made.
NCN has requested additional charges records related to the incident, including any available body-worn camera footage, and will continue to follow the story as more information becomes available.
