Members of Minnesota’s Muslim community are continuing to process shock and grief following a shooting that occurred Wednesday morning during an Eid prayer gathering in Shakopee.
The incident took place at the Canterbury Park Expo Center during Eid al-Adha prayers attended by hundreds of worshippers and families celebrating one of the holiest days in Islam. Authorities say a 26-year-old man was shot during the gathering and later transported to the hospital. The investigation remains ongoing.
