SUPERIOR, WI — Two Superior police officers responded Sunday evening around 6:30 PM to a residence on the 500 block of East 7th Street after receiving a report of a person armed with a knife inside a home with another adult. When officers arrived they found the person holding a knife. One officer discharged their weapon, striking both the armed individual and the other adult who was present in the home. Both individuals were transported to local hospitals where they remained as of Monday morning. No officers were injured. The officer involved was wearing a body camera during the incident and has been placed on administrative leave per department policy. The Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation has been contacted to lead the investigation, which will then be handed to the Douglas County District Attorney’s Office for review. This marks the third officer-involved shooting in Superior in just five months. In April a man was shot and killed by police outside an apartment complex. In December 2025 a person opened fire on officers, striking one. NCN has reached out to the Superior Police Department for additional comment and is awaiting a response. 📍 Superior, Wisconsin — 500 block of East 7th Street 🗓️ May 10-11, 2026 Real Stories.
