ST. LOUIS PARK — Police deployed to a barricade situation Sunday afternoon at 4637 Cedar Lake Road South, where officers worked to take a wanted person into custody, according to reports on the Citizen app.
The incident drew a heavy police presence to the area near Cedar Lake, with multiple agencies on scene and more en route, according to initial reports. As of Citizen's 6:04 p.m. update, the person was refusing to exit a structure while officers worked to take them into custody.
Citizen users posted six videos from the area, and the alert went out to more than 200,000 app users. At last check, 235 Citizen users were within a quarter mile of the scene.
NCN deployed a correspondent to the scene Sunday evening. No injuries have been reported, and St. Louis Park police had not released an official statement as of Sunday evening.
