MINNEAPOLIS — Multiple police officers and a K-9 unit were seen at a tactical police scene in north Minneapolis on Monday afternoon, according to reports on the Citizen app.
The alert, covering the area of 3401 N Thomas Ave, was first reported around 3:45 p.m. and marked verified with police on scene.
Live video from the area showed multiple squad cars with emergency lights activated and officers gathered on a residential street, with a K-9 visible near a vehicle.
Citizen said the alert went out to about 29,400 app users, with hundreds of users within a quarter mile of the scene.
No official statement had been released about the nature of the police activity as of Monday evening, and no injuries have been reported in connection with the scene.
